The Denver Business News announced that the Ohio and Illinois centers for broadcasting will create a broadcast training program just for Spanish-speaking Americans. The article state, “a shortage of well-trained staff exists in the broadcasting industry, and this shortage is most evident in Spanish-speaking media outlets, where it is rare to find a Spanish speaking job candidate with the skills required for a position at television and radio stations.” The center picked Denver as the site of the program, because of it’s growing Hispanic population. The article also says that, “at the broadcasting centers students develop expertise in all aspects of broadcasting (in front of the camera/microphone or behind the scenes in video or audio production) while learning from industry professionals on a daily basis.” For further information about the Hispanic Media Broadcasting Training Program, go to: www.mediosuno.com.
