What could they learn in a day?
First, this is a really basic program designed to introduce legal professionals to using Spanish in their practices.  The program is a full-day, six hour program.  It is intense, but really fun. 

The attendees will not become bilingual during the program, however, they will have access to the tools they need to either hire a bilingual staff member, or to take steps to become more fluent in Spanish and legal terminology. 

This program is all about equipping attorneys with tools, because ABA Rule 1.4 states that attorneys have a responsibility to communicate effectively with their clients. 

The entire first part of the program will be focused on communication barriers, interview techniques, and ABA Model Rule 1.4 Client Communication, and attorney-client privilege and confidentiality. 

Then, they will be introduced to the "rules of the game" and tricks to making the most of this course and future Spanish courses. 

Then, I give them lots of civil law vocabulary by practice area and criminal law vocabulary. 

They learn pronunciation, cultural issues, and then I have tons of resources for them to take the next step to helping their Spanish-speaking clients. 

The attendees are always surprised at how fast the time flies, and how much they learn, grow, and become more confident using the language. 

2. Members don't like multi-day programs. 
My program is designed to be just one day, for about 6 hours.  Spanish for Legal Professionals includes lots of practice, small groups, and other activities.
