Phyllis Launius is a leader in interpreter certification, ethics, and
working with the courts.
 

Ms. Launius, the Access to Justice Program Coordinator of the Missouri Office of State Courts Administrator (OSCA), provides support to Missouri’s trial courts in making them more open and accessible to everyone.

Assistance relates to accessibility for individuals with disabilities, certification of interpreters for the non-English speaking populations, and general access to justice issues.

Prior to working on this program, Ms. Launius worked on the criminal history improvement project through OSCA.

Ms. Launius received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, and is a fellow of the Institute for Court Management, National Center for State Courts, Williamsburg, Virginia.

She also serves on a number of committees for State Court Interpreter Certification.
